Jacqueline L. Gibson, M.A. Jacquie was a founding associate of Family Mediation Services, Missoula, Montana, in 1984, one of the first family mediators in the state, receiving training from Will Neville of Divorce Mediation Associates of Atlanta, Georgia.  After completing her M.A. in Communication, she moved to Oregon where she directed the University of Oregon’s Mediation Program from 1988 to 1997, handling student, staff and faculty disputes, teaching and giving workshops.  She returned to Montana and became a founding member of the Collaboration Institute.  She also joined the Montana Mediation Association design group, became a founding member of the association, and served as its third president for the 2002-2004 term.  In 2006, she joined the Montana Consensus Council. In more than 20 years of mediating, she has handled nearly 800 disputes in family, workplace, organizational, and government agency disputes.  She has taught mediation, conflict management and communication skills in several colleges and universities, and given scores of workshops and presentations to public and professional groups.  She has specific training and diplomas in divorce mediation, family conflict resolution, intercultural conflict resolution, discover partnership training, Jung’s theory and the MBTI, and trust and betrayal in the workplace.  Jacquie insists that we are all teachers.  “We only teach what we have to learn, and we keep teaching it until we learn it.” 412 Fifth Avenue, Helena, Montana, 59601.
